Cathal attended University College Dublin and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor in Business and Legal Studies.

He then gained experience in other disciplines before commencing work in the legal profession and attending Law School in the Incorporated Law Society in Blackhall Place. He qualified as a Solicitor in 2004 and was entered onto the Roll of Solicitors in 2005.

Cathal has worked in many areas of the law advising large companies as well as private clients.

He has acted for an assorted range of clients in litigation including individuals who have suffered as a result of a third party's negligence, insurance companies defending claims against them, G.A.A. clubs, Soccer Clubs, Medical Negligence cases and Building Companies.
